Kayak trip on the Crooked River through Maine’s Sebago Lake Region countryside. The section of the river between Edes Falls and the Roosevelt Trail that we paddle and float is six miles long. The river is roughly 30 feet wide, and five feet deep as it meanders with a mild current through undisturbed forests and around beautiful sand bars. This is a coed trip with space for 8 campers. No canoe or kayak experience necessary: we will go over some basics beforehand. By August the river will be as warm as it is going to get.
