Peter Slovenski has coached Track & Field at Bowdoin since 1987. Slovenski was the New England Division III Coach of the Year for Men's Cross-country in 1991 and for Indoor Track in 2000. He was voted Coach of the Year for New England III Women's cross-country in 1991 and 1992. He has also won NESCAC Coach of the Year for men's cross-country in 2000, 2001, and 2002.
Slovenski is a 1979 graduate of Dartmouth College. At Dartmouth he was a 4-year letterwinner in winter and spring track. He made the All-Ivy League track team as a pole vaulter in 1977 and 1978.
Steve graduated from Princeton in 2009 where he competed in the decathlon and pole vault for 4 years. He was a three time Ivy-League Championship scorer, including a 4th place finish in the Heptathlon in 2009, vaulting 15-5 in college. He has personal bests of 4649 in the heptathlon and 6149 in the decathlon.
Dave Slovenski is 2008 Nike Outdoor National Pole Vault Champion. He's the captain of the Princeton University track team and holds the Princeton and Ivy League indoor pole vault records at 17-7.
Mike Slovenski, the 2011 New England scholastic champion, is a freshman pole vaulter at Harvard University. He is a four time Maine state high school champion with a personal best of 15-6.
