Slovenski Camps is located on a beautiful wooded peninsula that extends a half mile into Panther Pond. The 90 acre peninsula is criss-crossed by a few miles of trails through oak, birch, hemlock, and white pine trees.
Our expansive athletic field is 5000 square yards and is shaded by towering pine trees. The field rests on sandy soil that drains quickly. The lake can be seen through the pine trees.
The forest trail system is used for hiking, mountain biking, and jogging. Trails traverse the peninsula and follow the shore of the lake providing spectacular views.
The natural beach is flat, wide, fifty yards long, and composed of fine golden sand that makes it a great site for swimming, beach volleyball, and water basketball. Guests can relax in the sun or in the shade of the pine trees bordering the beach.
The camp dining hall sits right on the shore so that every table has a view of Panther Pond through large screened windows. This large indoor space can serve as a rain location in the case of bad weather. The dining hall is also equipped with a projector and screen for presentations, movies, or slideshows.
Guests stay overnight in ten airy screened cabins that are as close as fifteen yards from the beach and no more than forty yards from the beach. Guests fall asleep at night to the sound of breezes rustling through the pine trees, loons singing on the lake, and waves lapping against the shore.
Our main lodge provides another multi-use indoor space and includes many table games such as ping pong and bumper pool.
